For the remainder of the month, The Jones Center in Springdale will be accepting nonperishable food items for the Northwest Arkansas Food Bank.
Residents who donate will be able to use the center’s ice rink at a reduced cost of $2. Skating normally costs $5 per session plus a $2 skate rental fee.
Summer skating hours are noon-3 p.m. and 5:15-9:45 p.m. Saturdays; 1:30-4:45 p.m. Sundays; noon-3 p.m. Tuesdays and Wednesdays; noon-3 p.m. and 7-8 p.m. Thursdays; and noon-3 p.m. and 7-9:45 p.m. Fridays.
Residents who don’t wish to skate may also make donations anytime during regular business hours. More information is available by calling (479) 756-8090, ext. 2142.
