FIVE QUESTIONS

Q The past couple of months haven’t exactly gone the way you’ve wanted. Have you ever experienced a tough stretch on the course in your career like the one you’re in now?

A “I haven’t. The last couple of years have been, not easy, but just I go out there very prepared and have a lot of confidence in my game. Coming out here in my rookie year, I came in on a high note and things didn’t go my way and I kind of took a beating.” Q Obviously, the level of play is one of the biggest adjustments when turning pro. What else have you learned is a big adjustment from college to professional golf?

A “It’s a lot more golf, a lot more golf. You have to manage things during the middle of week, so the big thing for me was getting a weekly routine with practice, workouts and things you have to do business-related.” Q You come from the University of Alabama, where winning national championships has become the norm. Where does helping your team win the NCAA title last year rank as far as career accomplishments to this point?

A “That’s probably at the top. That little time period where I helped the team win nationals and then played on the Curtis Cup team and then right after that my first professional event was the U.S. Open, that couldn’t have been better for me.

Q Still follow the Crimson Tide? Are you a big fan?

A“Oh, for sure. I was watching our men’s golf team. They just won the nationals this year, and I had them on live following them with the live scoring. I was actually at a tournament in Atlantic City, and I had it up on TV and I was just going crazy.” Q You’re back in SEC country this week. Do more family and friends make it out to see you now that you’re back close to home?

A “Yes. I definitely love being in SEC territory. I know there are a lot of Arkansas fans out here, but they’ve kind of embraced me.”
