Variety Is Spice of Fall Harvest Festival

Fresh off two other festivals at the Mulberry Mountain event grounds in Franklin County, officials at Pipeline Productions have announced the lineup for their third annual festival at that location.

More than three dozen bands will perform at Yonder Mountain String Band’s Harvest Music Festival, which will take place Oct. 17-19. The event will be headlined by Yonder Mountain String Band, which has been associated with the festival for the past several years.

Joining Yonder on the mountain for this year’s event are a diverse set of bands.

Many of them are acousticor bluegrass-oriented, but that’s certainly not the case for all of them. Among the acts are Les Claypool’s Duo de Twang, a side project apart from his more famous band, Primus; world music practitioners Beats Antique;

swampy southern rock outfit JJ Grey and Mofro; the bluescombination Tedeschi Trucks Band; songwriter (and son of Steve Earle) Justin Townes Earle; and rising country star Kacey Musgraves.

Three-day event passes are on sale now through the festival’s website at yonderharvestfestival.com.

The passes are currently $115 but will rise in price as the festival approaches.
