Library Book Sale Saturday

FAYETTEVILLE — The library’s biannual book sale is set from 9 a.m. to noon Saturday in the Rock Street entrance of the parking garage, 401 W. Mountain St.

Paperback books will cost 25 cents and hardcover 50 cents.

The Friends of the Fayetteville Public Library uses money from the sale, along with proceeds from the Friends Bookstore, to support library collections, programs and services. The last sale raised $1,939, said Margaret Burdette, volunteer services manager for the library.

The organization pledged $250,000 to the library’s National Endowment for the Humanities grant and, most recently, sponsored one year of free music downloads through the online Freegal Music Service, according to a news release.
