Opera in the Ozarks in Eureka Springs will host its 63rd season Friday through July 19. The 2013 season will include performances of Puccini’s Madama Butterfly, Donizetti’s The Elixir of Love and Gilbert and Sullivan’s The Pirates of Penzance.
The four-week season will include 26 performances at Inspiration Point, on U.S. 62 just outside Eureka Springs. Curtain time is 7:30 p.m. on performance nights with tickets available at a cost of $20-$25.
The troupe also will offer Sunday performances of this season’s operas at 4 p.m. June 30, July 7 and July 4 at the Arend Arts Center in Bentonville. Special performances of Cinderella also are planned as part of the opera’s outreach program on Saturday, June 29, July 6 and July 13 at the Eureka Springs City Auditorium.

Operation Renewal will host its third annual Military Heroes Benefit Ride starting at 9:45 a.m. Saturday at Wallis and Witcher Veterans of Foreign Wars Post 3031, 11160 N. Old Wire Road in Rogers.
The motorcycle ride will take riders to the Eureka Springs Chamber of Commerce and back. Registration starts at 9 a.m., and lunch will be served at 1:45 p.m.
