State police: 3 killed in separate auto accidents Sunday

Arkansas State Police say three people were killed Sunday in separate auto accidents in the state.

The crashes took place in Marion, Independence and White counties.

Mark Dobbs, 57, of Bull Shoals was killed near Pyatt when a tractor-trailer rig swerved to avoid another accident and crashed into Dobbs' vehicle about 4 p.m. Sunday, troopers said.

Joseph Moody, 53, of Batesville died when his vehicle went off an Independence County road and crashed into a rock wall and a tree just after 7 a.m.

Wayne Tanner, 66, of Searcy died just after 3 p.m., when he was thrown from the pickup he was riding in after the driver veered into oncoming traffic and struck another vehicle on Arkansas 36.
