Undressed opens in Bentonville

Andrea Sjovall has opened the intimate apparel boutique, Undressed, at 810 N.W. Third St., Suite D in Bentonville.

The 650-square-foot space near Reflections salon will target women customers. She plans to offer lingerie and sleepwear in traditional and large sizes, plus maternity, nursing and bridal options. Domestic and international brands will be for sale as well as accessories, such as cloth-covered hangers and lingerie wash products. The store will offer bra-fitting and personalized fitting services.

According to the store’s Facebook page, hours are 9:30 a.m.-7:30 p.m. Monday through Thursday, 9 a.m.-7 p.m.

Springdale nursing center earns bronze

Shiloh Nursing and Rehabilitation of Springdale received the 2013 Bronze Commitment to Quality Award from the National Quality Award program presented by the American Health Care Association and the National Center for Assisted Living. The program honors facilities nationwide that have demonstrated commitment to improving quality care for seniors and individuals with disabilities. It is centered on the core values and criteria of the Baldridge Performance Excellence Program, starting with elements such as vision and mission statements and an assessment of customers’ expectations.

Bronze level recipients may move forward in developing approaches and achieving performance levels meeting silver level criteria. Award presentations will be made Oct. 6-9 at the 64th annual convention in Phoenix.

UAFS College of Business accredited

The College of Business at the University of Arkansas-Fort Smith has earned accreditation by the Association to Advance Collegiate Schools of Business.

Steve Williams, dean of the business college, said accreditation is the hallmark of excellence in business education. He added that there are 672 business schools in 44 countries and territories that have achieved accreditation through AACSB. All accredited schools must go through a peer-review process every five years to maintain accreditation.

Siloam Springs widens online presence

The Siloam Springs Chamber of Commerce has launched a new website at siloamchamber.com. It was developed by Weblink International, a company that specializes in promoting businesses online by partnering with associations and Chambers of Commerce.

“Our goal with this new website is to dramatically improve how we promote our members and our community online,” said Wayne Mays, president and CEO of the chamber. “We expect traffic on our website to dramatically increase, which translates directly to more new business leads to our members from us.”

The enhanced website was a key part of the Chamber’s program of work for 2012 under the leadership of Board Chairman Randy Torres of Arvest Bank.

JBU students win marketing challenge

A team of John Brown University strategic marketing students won the 2013 MINI USA and Effie Collegiate Brand Challenge. After a pool of 300 student submissions were reviewed, the JBU team was among three invited to the MINI USA headquarters in New Jersey to present their marketing strategies. The team won $2,000 for the campaign, “MINI: What You’ve Been Looking For,” which was created by Emily Anderson, Jake Broce, Chase Skelton and Jacob Moore. Strategies must focus on increasing sales and overall brand awareness via social media platform engagement among the targeted market.
