Where I live: My wife, Ashley, and I live in a home on a beautiful corner lot in the Park Hill neighborhood of North Little Rock. We were adopted by a storm-tossed kitten last year that we named Phoebe. We have lived here for almost a year.

Occupation: I serve as the assistant director at the Thea Foundation. The mission of the Thea Foundation is to advocate the importance of the arts in the development of our youth.

My favorite space is: Our kitchen.

Why? Ashley and I spend a lot of time in the kitchen, which was completely renovated by the previous owners. We love to cook. Whether it’s a favorite family recipe or a new dish, we enjoy utilizing the amazing products and produce that Arkansas has to offer. It’s also where we begin the unwinding process at the end of the day. We pour ourselves a glass of wine, prep for whatever is on the menu for that night and discuss what the arts scene and creative economy in central Arkansas might look like down the road.

If I could make one change to improve this space, I would: Bust out the wall dividing the kitchen from the dining room. Ashley and I love to have people over. It is very hard to carry on conversations with guests while in the kitchen preparing the dinner. An open floor plan would make that much easier.
