Beaver Lake: Anglers are feeling the heat as fishing moves into a summertime pattern.

John Hodge at Hook, Line and Sinker in Rogers said black bass are biting jig and pigs or plastic worms 10 to 20 feet deep. Try nightfishing for bass with black spinner baits or a jig and pig.

Trolling for crappie and walleye has been good with Bandit or Flicker Shad crank baits. Striped bass are schooling at first light between Point 5 and Point 6.

Fishing for white bass is good by submerged lights beneath the Arkansas 12 bridge. Bluegill fishing is good with crickets or worms.

Garland Villines at Hickory Creek Marina said black bass are schooling on the surface and can be caught with small top-water lures, jigs or crank baits. Crappie have moved deep and can be caught with minnows 20 feet deep around brush.

Walleye have been caughtby trolling nightcrawler rigs between Hickory Creek and the Arkansas 12 bridge.

Catfishing is good on trotlines or jug lines baited with sunfish.

Jason Piper at J.T. Crappie Guide Services said crappie are suspended around pole timber. Fish with tube jigs or curly-tail grubs 10 feet deep in water that is 20 to 40 feet deep.

Good places to fish include White River arm, Pine Creek, Eden’s Bluff, Monte Ne and Ventris Hollow.

White River below Beaver Dam: Nancy Rose at the Beaver Dam Store said trout fishing is tough.

The river is crystal clear and Table Rock Lake is backed up into the river.

The top flies are black woolly buggers and gray sowbugs. Top lures are Flicker Shads, gold spoons or micro jigs. Best bait is white or yellow Power Bait tipped with a waxworm.

Lake Fayetteville: Dolly Black at Lake Fayetteville boat dock said bluegill are biting crickets and worms. Black bass are biting top-water lures early and late or plastic worms at midday.

Lake Sequoyah: Mike McBride at Lake Sequoyah bait shop said fishing is good for all species.

Black bass are biting a variety of lures, including spinner baits, buzz baits and crank baits. Bluegill are biting crickets or worms everywhere on the lake.

Minnows work best for crappie, fished 2 to 8 feet deep. Limits have been caught.

Fish near weed beds for catfish with stink bait, liver or shad.

Lake Elmdale: Lucky Key at Duck Camp Fishing Retreat said bluegill and redear are biting crickets or worms.

Black bass are biting spinner baits or jig and pigs.

For crappie, try tube jigs or minnows 8 feet deep.

Prairie Grove Lake: Dennis Kruse, lake manager, said fishing was good last weekend for heavy catches of bluegill. Crickets and worms work best.

Black bass fishing was good early with buzz baits and Zara Spooks. Jerk baits and spinner baits were good for midday fishing.

For crappie, use minnows or jigs 8 feet deep along weed edges or brush. Catfish are biting nightcrawlers.

The lake is open from 6 a.m. to 6 p.m. Saturdaysand Sundays. Only paddlecraft or electric motors are allowed.

Siloam Springs Lake: Kenny Stroud at BW Outdoors suggests using top-water lures at sunrise and sunset.

Illinois River: Stroud recommends using tube baits, small lizards or small buzz baits for black bass.

Bella Vista: Justin McClelland at Hook, Line and Sinker in Bella Vista said black bass fishing is good at all Bella Vista lakes with crank baits and plastic worms.

Bluegill are biting worms or crickets 2 to 4 feet deep at all lakes. Hybrid stripers have been caught by trolling Flicker Shads or Shad Raps at lakes Ann, Windsor and Loch Lomond.

Kings River: J.D. Fletcher at Eagle Rock, Mo., said smallmouth bass fishing is good with tube baits. Try small Rebel crawdad lures for a variety of species.

Upper Table Rock Lake: Fletcher said black bass are biting wacky worms or buzz baits in the backs of coves.

Eastern Oklahoma: Kenny Stroud at BW Outdoors in Siloam Springs said black bass at Lake Eucha are biting a variety of surface lures early and late, including buzz baits and top-water frogs.

At midday, try medium- or deep-diving crank baits or plastic worms in dark colors.

The Oklahoma Department of Wildlife Conservation said largemouth bass fishing at Grand Lake is fair on crank baits or jigs.
