Arrests

Springdale

• Joseph Edwards, 37, of 1379 Castle View Drive was being held Tuesday in the Washington County Detention Center in connection with felony first-degree terroristic threatening and misdemeanor third-degree domestic battery. Bond was set at $5,000.

Washington County Sheriff’s Office

• Christopher Hemingway, 34, of 1191 Cypress Ave. in Springdale was being held Tuesday in the Washington County Detention Center in connection with first-degree felony battery and theft of property. Bond was set at $10,000.

• Tommy Neal, 47, of West Fork was being held Tuesday in the Washington County Detention Center in connection with felony fleeing and possession of drug paraphernalia and misdemeanor operating an all-terrain vehicle on a roadway. Bond was set at $2,500. He was arrested after a sheriff’s deputy found him driving the vehicle on Baker Mountain Road about 3:30 p.m. Monday.

West Fork

• Scott Dwayne Smith, 42, of 3822 Wildwood in Fayetteville was being held Tuesday in the Washington County Detention Center in connection with felony aggravated assault and first-degree criminal mischief and misdemeanor leaving the scene of a property damage accident. He is being held in connection with an incident at his former girlfriend’s home when a vehicle was driven into a house occupied by four people, including two minors. Police estimated about $10,000 in damage to the home. Police said Smith fled the scene and was arrested not far away.

Fire

Rogers

• Firefighters shut off a leaking and broken gas meter Monday at 3005 W. Sunset Drive.

• Aluminum foil caused a fire in a microwave at 1521 W. Gum St. on Monday. The fire was out before firefighters arrived.

Springdale

• The Fire Department was called Tuesday to an alarm at Apex Tool Group, 1690 N. Old Missouri Road, at 7:55 a.m. A portion of the wall and roof caught fire near a heating unit used to melt metal, said Duane Miller, fire marshal. Everyone was evacuated, there were no injuries and the fire wasn't large enough to set off the sprinklers.

Rogers

• A 54-year-old man riding a bicycle collided with a car near Eighth and Persimmon streets Monday. The man said he wasn't injured and refused medical attention.

• Three people were hospitalized after a car accident at Dixieland and New Hope roads Monday. A 34-year-old woman and 11- and 15-year-old boys were hospitalized.

Rogers

• Sam Nesbitt, 2905 W. Olive St., reported Monday a vehicle broken into and theft of a laptop on Friday.

• Arvest Bank, 4302 W. Olive St., reported Monday theft of a debit card mailed to a customer, but not received. The card had charges on it.

• Cyntha Gaucin, 1714 S. H St., reported identity theft Monday. Gaucin told police she received a letter from a bank denying credit she didn't request because of delinquent accounts she never had.

• Brandon Freeman, 301 E. Thistlewood Ave., reported Monday the break-in of a Ford F-150 pickup and a Toyota Corolla and theft of a Garmin device.

• Shawna Jennings, 221 W. Elm St., reported Monday theft of an air conditioning unit from Model Laundry.

• Roger Buckmaster reported a vehicle damaged in the parking lot of Hampton Inn, 4501 W. Walnut. The Lincoln Town Car had damage to its bumper and headlight, Buckmaster told police.

• Mary Gaertanaer, 815 N. 19th St., reported Monday criminal mischief after someone broke the rear window of a Hyundai Elantra.

• David White, 807 W. Price Lane, reported Monday that wheels and tires were stolen off a vehicle on Saturday.

Springdale

• Joel Hernandez reported Tuesday a burglary at 214 E. Robinson Ave.

• Synthia Jackson reported Monday her vehicle was broken into overnight at 2108 Westwood Ave.

• Charlene Little reported Monday her vehicle was broken into at 2022 Long St. A wallet was stolen.
