Tuesday in Breedlove Auditorium.

UA-Fort Smith’s Stephen Husarik, a professor of humanities and music, and students Maeleigh and Brooks Mauldin of Alma, Trevor Stewart of Fort Smith and Jered May of Van Buren made the 10-day trip to the Austrian capital. The hourlong presentation will include videos of musical performances, a slide show of newly discovered residences belonging to Ludwig van Beethoven and theories about why the composer lived where he did in Vienna.

Beethoven lived in more than 70 residences in and around Vienna during his life. Photographs of the residences are being compiled for a photographic catalog to be presented to the Austrian National Library.

The group also took in museums, historic homes and favorite restaurants of Austrian composers; concert venues; and a performance of Tristan and Isolde.
