WEST MEMPHIS - Routine bridge inspections on Interstate 40 will require overnight lane closures today and Thursday, the Arkansas Highway and Transportation Department said.
Crews inspecting the Martin Luther King Drive and Mound City Road overpasses will require eastbound andwestbound traffic to be merged into one lane each from just east of the I-40/Interstate 55 interchange at mile marker 180 to just east of Mound City Road at mile marker 181.
The lane closures will take place between 10 p.m. and 8 a.m., weather permitting. Traffic will be controlled using barrels and warning signs, the department said.
