Fort Smith police to seek comments

The Fort Smith Police Department will be assessed by a team from the Commission on Accreditation for Law Enforcement Agencies on Sunday. The assessment will focus on policies and procedures, management, operations and support services for the department’s communications unit.

Residents are also invited to offer comments to the assessment team from 2-4 p.m. Monday by calling (479) 709-5238. Comments are limited to 10 minutes and must address the reason for the assessment.

Written comments will also be accepted by mail. Residents can write to the Commission on Accreditation for Law Enforcement Agencies Inc., 13575 Heathcote Blvd., Suite 320, Gainesville, Va., 20155.

Peter Pan to be performed in Harrison

The Theatre Co. and the Ozark Arts Council will present their annual summer musical, Peter Pan, starting Friday at the Lyric Theater, 113 W. Rush in Harrison.

Showtimes are 7 p.m. Fridays and Saturdays and 2 p.m.

Sundays; shows run through Aug. 11. Tickets cost $12 for adults, $10 for seniors and students, and $8 for children.

Premium seats cost $6 more. The musical is the culmination of the groups’ annual children’s workshop.
