Exxon Mobil estimates that about 5,000 barrels of oil spilled from a ruptured pipeline in Mayflower, although a 3,500-barrel estimate was given during a meeting in May among Exxon officials and Arkansas officials about the Lake Maumelle watershed. An article in Saturday’s editions incorrectly stated the number of barrels for the company’s lower estimate.
