The man in charge of Benton County's road department has been arrested in connection with a felony theft, County Judge Bob Clinard said.
Clinard said Tuesday that Scott Stober, the county's public services administrator, was arrested in connection with misappropriation of county funds.
Keshia Guyll, a spokesperson for the Benton County Sheriff's Office, confirmed Stober's arrest and that he was being booked into the jail.
"I first learned about it last night," Clinard said. "Obviously, I haven't had a very good night's sleep or a good day today."
