Authorities are using cadaver dogs on boats to search for a missing diver in Beaver Lake in Carroll County.
The man, who was spear fishing and free diving Saturday when he went missing, is identified as Michael Burton, 28, of Omaha, Neb. A friend called 911 about 11 a.m. Saturday.
Three dogs alerted on one spot yesterday, and sonar also detected something in that area, said Carroll County Sheriff Bob Grudek. Authorities are focusing on an area near Starkey Island, and divers were preparing to enter the water at about 1 p.m. today.
