The First Baptist Church of Bentonville will host a collection drive next week for its annual clothing giveaway set for Aug. 3.
The event, now in its 11th year, provides clothing for children and adults. People can drop off gently used clothing of all sizes at the church’s Family Life Center from 8 a.m. to 8 p.m. Monday through Thursday. The church is at 220 S. Main St.
Church representatives said they are in special need of children’s clothing, given the event’s proximity to the start of the school year. Volunteers put in more than 1,500 hours for last year’s event, according to a news release.
This year’s giveaway will be held from 7 a.m. to noon. Aug. 3 at the church.
