SPRINGDALE — A man has been arrested in connection with having sex with a 14-year-old girl.
David Mejia-Rivera, 33, of 1506B Thrush St. was arrested Tuesday in connection with three counts of felony rape.
A police investigation began after the girl’s father reported she was dating and having sex with Mejia-Rivera, according to a probable cause affidavit. The girl, during an interview, told an investigator she had dated Mejia-Rivera since February and had sex with him three times.
In an interview, Mejia-Rivera admitted to dating and having sex with the girl twice, according to the affidavit.
Mejia-Rivera was in the Washington County Detention Center on Tuesday awaiting a bond hearing.
