Summerland Tour to visit Fayetteville

The Arkansas Music Pavilion at the Washington County Fairgrounds in Fayetteville will host the Summerland Tour 2013 at 7:30 p.m. Wednesday. Gates open at 6 p.m.

The tour features alternative rock bands Everclear, Live, Filter and Sponge. Tickets cost $22-$37 with a limited number of premium seats available for $102.

The Young Actors Guild will present Freckleface Strawberry, The Musical on Thursday, Friday and Saturday at the Arkansas Best Corp. Performing Arts Center at the Fort Smith Convention Center.

The family musical is based on the best-selling book by actress Julianne Moore. The story is designed to teach kids that everyone is different.

Shows are planned at 7 p.m. Thursday and Friday and at 2 p.m. and 7 p.m. Saturday. The shows are the culmination of the Guild’s free Junior Musical Theatre Conservatory for children ages 6-14. More information is available at yagonline.org or by calling (479) 782-1696.
