Fort Smith bank robbed at gunpoint

FORT SMITH, Ark. — Fort Smith police are searching for two men who robbed a bank at gunpoint.

Police say the two walked into First National Bank shortly after 12:30 p.m. Monday and each man went to a teller and demanded money. Witness told investigators that one of the men had what appeared to be a semi-automatic handgun.

Police say the two left the bank on foot with an undisclosed amount of money and both are considered armed and dangerous.
