Business news in brief

Greek restaurant opens in Fayetteville

Taziki’s Mediterranean Cafe is open for business at 95 E. Joyce Blvd. in Fayetteville.

The restaurant serves Mediterranean-inspired foods including hummus, dolmades, Greek and Mediterranean salads, sandwiches and gyros. Taziki’s serves chicken, beef and lamb as well as tilapia, salmon and shrimp.

The franchise is owned by Little Rock-based JTJ Restaurants, whose principals are Jim Keet and his sons Tommy and Jake Keet.

Brad Compton is the Northwest Arkansas managing partner.

This is the fourth Taziki’s opened by JTJ. The company owns two Taziki’s in Little Rock and one in Conway. Tommy Keet said plans are also in the works to open a restaurant at 100 S.E. Walton Blvd. in Bentonville later this year.

The Fayetteville site seats 110 people inside and 40 on the deck. Between 25 and 30 people work at the restaurant, and Tommy Keet said he is still hiring.

He said the restaurant is fresh-casual. All sauces are handmade and all meat is cut in the store. Taziki’s also offers takeout and catering services.

Taziki’s is open 11 a.m. to 9 p.m. Monday through Saturday and 11 a.m. to 8 p.m.

Sunday.
