MOUNTAIN HOME - A Salem man died Friday after he was pinned between an unsecured trailer and his truck, Baxter County Sheriff John Montgomery said.
The sheriff said Michael Martin, 62, was loading a tractor at an equipment company on West Road in rural Mountain Home. The trailer had not been secured properly to Martin’s truck.
Martin was standing between the trailer and truck when the weight of the tractor pushed the trailer into the back of the truck, trapping Martin, Montgomery said.
The accident happened at noon Friday. Medical personnel transported Martin to Baxter Regional Medical Center in Mountain Home, where he was pronounced dead at 1:25 p.m., the sheriff said.
