Eileen Sotomora

Where I live: I live in the River Ridge neighborhood of West Little Rock with my husband, Dr. Ricardo Sotomora. Our daughter Charlotte (nicknamed Charli) is a student at UALR and has an apartment, so we care for her dog Ivy, who keeps company with our dog Puddin.

Occupation: I am a registered nurse and manager of my husband’s pediatric cardiology practice.

My favorite space: We have a pair of Louis XVI gilt chairs in our great room. I sit on one of them each morning to lace up my tennis shoes before walking our dogs. From this space, I also have a wonderfulview of the art in the room and the lovely green space outside. I love my chair because this is where I pause to think about what is next. Next in the day and next in life. It is located halfway between the kitchen and my home office, where I spend time working on one thing or another, so it is that middle place where I can relax. Sometimes, my husband joins me on the other chair and we talk about ideas and future plans.

If I could change one thing to improve this space, I would: I enjoy it just as it is. However, I would like to find an easier way to hang paintings above the stairwell going downstairs from here.
