Henry Named Shiloh Christian Baseball Coach

SPRINGDALE — The Shiloh Christian baseball program will remain in familiar hands as former assistant coach Moe Henry has been elevated to head coach.

Henry will replace former coach Jimmy Harris, who recently accepted a similar position at Stillwater, Okla. Harris led the Saints to three state championships in Class 4A prior to the team moving to Class 5A last season.

“Coach Henry loves and cares about kids, and is a great teacher of the game,” Shiloh Christian Athletic Director Josh Floyd said in a news release. “We are excited about his vision for the Shiloh baseball program.”

Henry will be assisted by another coach very familiar with the program as former Saints football and baseball standout Crosby Tuck returns to Springdale.

Tuck, who graduated from Arkansas and was a member of the Razorbacks football team, was an assistant coach on Shiloh Christian’s 2011 state champion baseball team. He has coached in Florida the past two years. He’ll also serve as an assistant coach for football this fall.

“We are excited to welcome Crosby and his wife Lauren, who is also a Shiloh alum, back to Northwest Arkansas and the Shiloh family,” Floyd said.

Henry has been a coach at Shiloh Christian for two years, coming over from Springdale High. He’s a native of Nashville, where he was a four-sport standout for the Scrappers. He’s a graduate of Arkansas Tech.

“We appreciate all of the work he has already put into our school,” Floyd said.

The Saints are members of the 5A-West Conference, and failed to make the Class 5A state tournament last spring.
