Construction To Close Sang Avenue

FAYETTEVILLE — A quarter-mile stretch of Sang Avenue is scheduled to close this week for resurfacing and to replace a speed table south of Wedington Drive.

Sang will close from 6 a.m. to 4 p.m. today and Tuesday between Wedington Drive and Cleveland Street while city transportation crews lay new asphalt, according to a news release.

Sang will be blocked to through traffic from 6 a.m. to 4 p.m. Wednesday through Friday between Berry Street and Ora Drive while crews pour a concrete speed table.

Terry Gulley, transportation services director, said the asphalt speed table on Sang was one of the city’s first and needs to be replaced.

Sang Avenue residents will have access to their driveways, but should expect delays, according to the news release.
