WHAT: Activia Greek
STATS: One container (5.3 ounces) has 130 calories, no fat, no fiber, 20 carbohydrate and 12 protein grams. Sold in packs of four. Visit activia.us.com.
THE SKINNY: “Bifidus Regularis.”
That’s not Greek. It’s Dannon yogurt-speak for its brand Activia’s “exclusive probiotic culture” that it claims helps “naturally regulate your digestive health.”
But now Dannon’s Activia is going Greek in four fruit-on-the-bottom flavors (Garden Blueberry, Strawberry Patch, Orchard Peach and Tropical Fruit) and one regular (Vanilla) variety that contains no fat and and more protein (12 grams) than other low-fat yogurts.
We appreciate Activia Greek’s thick and creamy, custard-like consistency, and a sweet swirl of fruit makes it more palatable than comparable products.
