Gary Allan to play 2 shows; inns host whodunit weekend

Honky-tonker Gary Allan will perform twice this week in Arkansas:

‘Murderous’ weekend

Neighboring Eureka Springs hostelries Bridgeford House Bed and Breakfast Inn, 263 Spring St., and Crescent Cottage Inn, 211 Spring St., are teaming up for a Murder Mystery Weekend, titled “The Sure Pop Oil Well Scandal,” July 26-27. Guests will play colorful characters, including Lois Price, Rusty Fossat and Bill O. Reitz, via a script by Bridgeford co-owner Nadara “Sam” Feldman.

El Dorado Musicfest

Rocker Bret Michaels and Arkansas country singer Justin Moore will headline Musicfest El Dorado, Oct. 4-5 in El Dorado’s Union Square District, 101 W. Main St., among more than 30 acts on four stages.

Randall Shreve & the Sideshow will open the Oct. 4 Main Stage show at 6:30 p.m., followed by Austin Brown at 8 and Michaels at 9:30.

The Oct. 5 schedule is still in flux, but the all-country evening will feature Julie Roberts at 6:30 p.m., Frank Foster at 8 and Moore at 9:30.

The Saturday lineup willalso include regional show band Windstorm, American Idol finalist and Prescott native Rachel Hale, Dixie rocker and Conway native Jim Mize and Nakeysha Brown, winner of the 2013 Sunday Voice gospel competition.
