Here comes the newest Arkansas

IT’S BEEN a long time between industrial developments on this scale in Arkansas. Indeed, it’s been forever. For the $1.1-billion steel plant slated to go up in once-declining Northeast Arkansas may be the biggest such investment in the state’s history. No wonder it’s so welcome. For a project of this size doesn’t mean just 525 good-paying jobs now, but more in the future as it grows, and more all around Mississippi County as one new investment attracts others, large and small, allied and just neighbors, all part of one dramatically revived economy.
