The League Age cutoff date for Cal Ripken/Babe Ruth is April 30. If you have played in the league in the last couple of years, please use your SportsPilot user name/password for your child.

Because of the increasing amount of incorrect birthdates during registration, all birth certificates will need to be verified by a BYB Board member. All players who were on a postseason all-star team after Spring 2012 have already been verified. Players will not be placed on a team until their birth certificate has been verified. Players who will be trying out need to bring their birth certificates with them to tryout. The board will be available to verify birth certificates on the following dates at Dink’s BBQ (3404 S.W. Macy Road, Bentonville) from 5 to 7 p.m. each Thursday through Feb. 7, and Tuesday, Feb. 12.

Tryouts will be held inside at the Tiger Athletic Complex on Feb. 16. The times for each age group will be posted on the BYB website. Players who will be ages 10, 12 and 14 who played last spring will not need to try out this year. They will play on the same team as last year. Players not attending a tryout cannot be drafted by a team and will be assigned to a team by a random drawing. Players from ages 4 to 7 will not have a tryout and will be assigned to teams by the commissioner of their age group.
