Birders Trek To See Eagles

The Northwest Arkansas Audubon Society will host a field trip at 9 a.m. Saturday along the Eagle Watch Nature Trail near Gentry to see bald eagles at Swepco Lake.

Meet at the trailhead two miles west of Gentry on Arkansas 12. It’s a level onequarter-mile walk to a viewing pavilion. High numbers of eagles and other raptors are at the lake this winter.

Trout Unlimited Meeting Set

The Arkansas Trout Unlimited chapter will meet at 6:30 p.m. Monday at Whole Hog Cafe, 3009 N. College Ave. in Fayetteville.

The group will hear from“Friends of the Norfork” about trout stocking from the Norfork National Fish Hatchery.

Lincoln Lake

Trail Work Set

Volunteer trail workers are needed at 9 a.m. Feb. 9 for a final one-day push to complete a loop trail around Lincoln Lake.

Meet at the parking area at the entrance to the lake three miles north of Lincoln on Washington County 669. Bring work gloves and water. Tools are provided.

The completed trail for hiking and mountain biking will loop 12 miles around the lake.
