Bass Techniques Class Set For Feb. 13 In Tulsa

Top professional bass fishermen are the instructors in the four-session “Bass Techniques 2013” that starts Feb. 13 at Tulsa Community College.

Each class is from 7:30 to 9:30 p.m. at the college located at 3727 E. Apache Ave., in Tulsa, Okla. Classes are Feb. 13, 20, 26 and March 4. Enrollment is $99.

Instructors are pro anglers Tommy Biff e, Paul Elias, Ken Cook, guide Ivan Martin and angler Jim Morton.

Biffe will talk about bass behavior, jig fishing and seasonal patterns on Feb. 13.Elias will speak on Feb. 20 about fishing the Alabama rig and using a Carolina rig.

Elias used an Alabama rig in a 2011 FLW tournament to catch 103 pounds of bass.

Cook’s talk on Feb. 26 covers bass habits, finesse fishing and spinner baits. Martin and Morton will end the course on March 4 with techniques for catching bass at Grand Lake and other Oklahoma waters.

The Bassmaster Classic will be held at Grand Lake on Feb. 22-24. Elias and Cook are past winners of the Classic.
