Man Faces Drug, Assault Charges

— A Lincoln man was arrested Sunday in connection with four counts of felony possession of a controlled substance and a handful of other charges.

Police responded to a call early Sunday morning reporting that Zachry Seward, 21, of 16488 S. Arkansas 59 was attempting to run people over with his vehicle at 610 W. South St. in Lincoln.

According to the Washington County Sheriff’s Office, Seward reportedly pointed a handgun at some people at the residence and then rammed his vehicle into a parked car.

Officers went to Seward’s residence and observed Seward fleeing until he tripped on a metal sink in the yard.

Officers found a loaded .22 caliber semi-automatic handgun and bottle of pills in Seward’s possession. According to police, the bottle contained Alprazolam pills, Methadone pills, Acetaminophen Hydrocodone Bitartrate pills and Acetaminophen Codeine Phosphate.

Seward faces felony charges of aggravated assault, fleeing, criminal mischief in the first degree, simultaneous possession of drugs and firearms and four counts of possession of a controlled substance. He was being held Sunday in the Washington County Detention Center on $7,500 bond.
