One-car crash kills two on Arkansas 10

— Two people died in a one vehicle accident Thursday night near Arkansas 10 and Garrison Road in Pulaski County.

Pulaski County sheriff’s deputies responded to the accident about 11:19 p.m., according to an accident report. When they arrived, they found a red sedan in the tree line off the roadway with parts of the sedan and contents from inside the car scattered around the area, the report states.

The passenger, identified by the Pulaski County coroner’s office as 33-year-old Aimee Burghart, was pronounced dead at the scene. Her husband, identified as 32-year-old Daniel Burghart, was the driver. An address for the Burgharts was not listed in the accident report.

Daniel Burghart was taken to Baptist Health Medical Center-Little Rock, where he was pronounced dead, according to the report.

Deputies don’t know what caused the accident, sheriff ’s office spokesman Lt. Carl Minden said.

A bag containing 10 bottles of propofol was found at the scene, according to the accident report. Propofol is an intravenously administered hypnotic agent used to maintain general anesthesia.

Daniel Burghart was a certified registered nurse anesthetist in Little Rock, according to an online registry at npidb.org.

Sharat Sasi, a friend of the family, said Daniel Burghart was employed by Baptist Health Medical Center and he and his wife have a 3-year-old daughter, whom they were going to pick up when the accident occurred.
