Posted: January 25, 2013 at 1:29 p.m.
LITTLE ROCK The Arkansas Economic Development Commission announced a press conference for a "major economic development" to be unveiled Tuesday.
The release states that the press conference will take place at the state Capitol.
No details were immediately released. Calls to Gov. Calls to AEDC spokesman Joe Holmes were not immediately returned.
When reached by phone, Beebe spokesman Matt DeCample said that the announcement was "major."
It wasn't clear if the announcement involved the possible "superproject" Beebe alluded to in his Jan. 15 address to the 89th General Assembly.
In the address, Beebe called the economic development "one of the biggest projects this state has ever seen."
