‘Geek The Library’ Set for Feb. 2

— The Rogers Public Library will Geek the Library 2.0 on Feb. 2.

The Geek the Library campaign is designed to give individuals the opportunity to try new products such as smartphones, tablets and computers. Area businesses and services providers will be present to demonstrate their products.

The library staff will demonstrate how to download electronic books from the library collection. There will be a Minecraft tournament, Staples will have free computer diagnostics and Esco Recycling will accept obsolete equipment. Other participants includes Best Buy Geek Squad, Bedford Camera & Video, Samsung, Verizon, Barnes & Noble and take3.NWA.

Geek the Library will be from 10 a.m. to 4 p.m. at the library, 711 S. Dixieland Road.

Geek the Library is a national campaign paid for by a grant from the Bill and Melinda Gates Foundation.
