Finley Vinson’s vision

B. Finley Vinson, who died in May 2006 at age 92, was a visionary. Vinson, who grew up in Corpus Christi, Texas, found his way to Little Rock following World War II and never left. He was transferred to Arkansas by the U.S. Navy to help dispose of surplus properties. He became executive director of the Little Rock Housing Authority in 1950 and entered the banking industry a few years later.
