Kabul battle fatal to 3 officers, 5 foes

Afghans watch from a damaged building across from Kabul traffic police headquarters building Monday that was attacked by militants in Kabul.

In the second brazen attack on the capital in less than a week, five Taliban suicide bombers stormed the traffic police headquarters early Monday, setting off a fierce nine-hour gun battle that raged into the afternoon and claimed the lives of at least three traffic officers.
