County To Begin Work To Replace Harvey Dowell Bridge

A vehicle drives southbound Monday onto the Harvey Dowell Bridge on Washington County Road 195. County road crews today closed roads to the north and south of the bridge in preparation to replace the structure built in 1926.

Ambulance crews this year may take longer to reach residents north of the Harvey Dowell Bridge east of Fayetteville.
