— A Springdale man was arrested in connection with kidnapping a 2-year-old boy early Sunday morning.

According to police, Brentley Wolfgang, 24, of 1994 Dos Loredos Ave. had gotten into an argument with his girlfriend in their car while traveling home from Bentonville. The girlfriend told police Wolfgang hit her several times until she was knocked out. The girlfriend reported she was unsure how many times she had been hit.

She told police she woke up when Wolfgang was dragging her from the car into the couple’s apartment. She told police that once she was in the house she was choked and hit repeatedly by Wolfgang until she was unconscious.

The woman told police when she woke up, her 2-year-old son had been taken by Wolfgang.

Wolfgang and the boy were later found by police at his brother’s house in Bentonville.

Police arrested Wolfgang in connection with felony kidnapping, domestic aggravated assault, domestic battery in the third degree and endangering the welfare of a minor in the third degree. He was released from the Washington County Detention Center on Sunday on $5,000 bond.
