— HOT SPOTSBEAVER LAKE Crappie fishing is fair using crankbaits

and jigs worked slowly around brush in 6-9 feet of

water. Bass are biting well on jigs and jerkbaits fished

along 45-degree banks. Stripers are biting well around Rocky Branch and Point 12.

BULL SHOALS TAILWATER Postspawn browns are starting to feed, with several big fish being caught. Streamers are working extremely well. Double Deceivers and most

of the bigger articulated flies are also working well. Olive, pink and yellow are the best color choices.

LAKE CONWAY Bream are biting well on redworms in Pierce Creek. Crappie are biting well in the channels on jigs and minnows suspended about one

foot from the bottom. Catfishing is good using cut bait and night crawlers.

LAKE DARDANELLE Bass in the upriver section of the lake are holding on road beds in the backwaters and can be caught on jerkbaits, jigs and Rat-L-Traps worked slowly. Bass were in

the backwater as well around Spadra, and a few decent ones

were caught on jerkbaits worked slowly. A few decent bass are

also being taken on jigs worked slowly around the bottom near points. Striped bass are biting well at the nuclear plant outlet. White

hair jigs, grubs, jerkbaits and Rat-L-Traps are working best. Crappie

were biting fairly well in Piney Bay, Shoal Bay and on the main river using jigs.

LAKE MAUMELLE Crappie are biting well on Bobby Garland Baby Shads and Slab Slay’rs in red/chartreuse, bone white, monkey milk and crystal/bone white. Bleeding shad tubes tipped with a Power Bait Crappie Nibble also are working. White bass are in deep water close to the channel and in the upper river. White Roostertails and shad-colored grubs are working best. Bream are deep but are hitting night crawlers, redworms, meal worms and crickets.

Bass fishing is fair using spinnerbaits, Roostertails and Flukes.
