The Fayetteville Public Library will host a brown-bag session, “Nonprofit Lunch and Learn: Social Media Outreach Results,” at 12:30 p.m. Friday in the Ann Henry Board Room.

The workshop focuses on how nonprofits can use social media to enhance outreach efforts. Molly Jensen, a University of Arkansas at Fayetteville marketing professor, will give a short presentation on social-media outlets and how nonprofits can use them to their advantage.

Arts center hosts Velveteen Rabbit

The Walton Arts Center will host a series of events featuring ODC/Dance on Saturday. The troupe will present a performance of the beloved children’s tale The Velveteen Rabbit at 2 p.m. followed by an “unplugged” performance at 8 p.m.

The “unplugged” performance will give a glimpse into the creative process from conception to performance. The evening will end with a performance of a piece called “Breathing Underwater.”

Local children from The New School will perform during both shows. Students will train for 20 hours with their dance teacher as well as member of the dance troupe.

Tickets for The Velveteen Rabbit are $10-20, while tickets for the “unplugged” performance are $16. More information is available by calling (479) 443-5600 or online at waltonartscenter.org.
