MOUNTAIN HOME — Police identified the body of a man found in a truck submerged in Lake Norfork on Saturday as a Flippin man who had been missing since October, Baxter County Sheriff John Montgomery said Tuesday.
Montgomery said Charles B. Csiszer, 27, died of a gunshot wound in the right side of his head. Authorities found Csiszer wearing his seat belt in his pickup in 10-12 feet of water near the courtesy dock at the Calamity Beach boat launch near Clarkridge after an unidentified person told police about the submerged truck.
Montgomery said police found a .45-caliber semiautomatic handgun in the vehicle. He said medical examiners have ruled the shooting as self-inflicted.
Family members reported that Csiszer was missing from his Flippin home since Oct. 20.
