A 20-year-old Fayetteville man was killed early Sunday when the vehicle he was riding in veered off the road and rolled multiple times, authorities said.
It happened shortly after midnight as Kenneth Sizemore, 20, of Springdale drove a 2008 Chevrolet east on Arkansas 16 at Golf Club Drive.
According to an Arkansas State Police report, the vehicle crossed the centerline and then veered back over and left the south side of the road. The vehicle then rolled "several times," police said.
Sizemore and passenger Griffith Smith, 20, of West Fork were hospitalized with unspecified injuries. A second passenger, identified as Zachary T. Hagen, died from injuries suffered in the wreck.
Police say the road was wet and the weather was windy and cold when the wreck occurred.
Hagen was the 16th person to die in a traffic accident on Arkansas roads so far this year, according to preliminary figures.
