4A-7 BOYS

CAC wins, tough games ahead

— Central Arkansas Christian Coach Steve Quattlebaum said he was glad to see the performance his team turned in at home Friday night for a 54-34 victory over the Arkadelphia Badgers (11-6, 4-2) in a 4A-7 conference game.

The Mustangs (10-5, 3-0) top the conference standings, but the Mustangs will be busy, with seven games scheduled in the next two weeks.

“I am more concerned with the second week,” Quattlebaum said. “I think we will be OK the first week. Hopefully we will get a chance to rest some of the guys some.”

CAC plays Nashville Monday, travels to Ashdown on Tuesday. Home games follow against Malvern on Friday and Robinson on Saturday.

The next week the Mustangs play Tuesday, Friday and Saturday.

Dylan Sherrill led CAC with 17 points, Josh Holland had 16, and Logan Stafford scored 11.
