2 die in separate highway crashes

Two people died in separate accidents Friday on state roadways, according to preliminary Arkansas State Police fatality accident reports.

Joshua Womack, 25, of Rison and Ronald Earl Williams, 68, of Mooresville, N.C., died in early-morning accidents, the state police reported.

About 2:20 a.m., Womack was driving south on U.S. 79 near South Orlando Street inPine Bluff when he lost control of his 2007 Chevy pickup when negotiating a curve, ran off the road and struck a tree, the report states.

About 6:25 a.m., Williams was driving east on Interstate 30 in Saline County when he ran off the highway in his 2013 International truck. Williams drove through the median and across the south frontage road, ran through a fence and struck a tree, the report states.
