Tear Gas Brings Man Out

The Benton County Sheriff’s Office SWAT team gears up to work a standoff Thursday on Hickory Lane in the Beaver Shores community near Rogers.

Benton County Sheriff’s Office deputies used tear gas to end a standoff where a man believed to be armed with a gun refused to come out of a home Thursday morning.

This story is only available from our archives.

It's getting to be a "big brother" welfare state when a man can't sit inside a home, play with his gun, and get drunk without fifty SWAT thugs shooting tear gas at him. Congress does this in every session.

I live out by where this incident occurred. Sometimes people get nervous or scared when it happens in their neighborhood. Not me and certainly not now. Hats off to the deputies for handling this so well. Obviously some level of intervention was necessary and no one was hurt. If this guy needs help, he can get it. If not, no real charges will be filed. Good job guys!!!

So Moneymyst...do you have anything positive to suggest? I never hear anything constructive from you. It must be a miserable life to just find fault & complain all the time. Perhaps joining a positive minded church or organization would be of benefit to you.
