Arkansas Democrat-Gazette handicapper Rick Lee has been given a fictional $1,000 bankroll to work with during the 2013 Oaklawn meeting. He can make as many plays as he wants daily.
This has definitely become the most fun and pressure-filled part of handicapping Oaklawn for the Democrat-Gazett. I really look forward to testing my handicapping and money management skills, or lack thereof, for all to read. I certainly hope for good luck, and I wish the same to you who will frequent Oaklawn this season.
I will start the new season with $20 to win on Now and Zen in the fifth, and play two $15 exactas in the seventh, putting Royal Dehere over Marshall Raylan and Our Double Play. I’ll finish the day with three $8 exactas in the ninth, placing My Man Sumo over Alarming Afleet, The Fourth Estate and George Ray.
