In 2011, Arkansas legislators appropriated $700,000 from the general improvement fund to the Arkansas Sports Hall of Fame, but the hall received only $25,000, according to Brandon Sharp of the Arkansas Department of Finance and Administration. An article Saturday about the hall failed to make clear that not all the money appropriated was spent.

Fort Smith native and World War II hero William Orlando Darby was killed April 30, 1945. The year of his death was incorrectly reported in an article Monday about an effort to erect a statue in his honor.

The Little Rock Advertising and Promotion Commission elected new officers at its meeting Tuesday, including new Chairman Warren J. Simpson. A brief published Wednesday misidentified Simpson’s last name.
