Three Bentonville wrestlers won their weight class to help the Tigers finish third in a 17-team tournament in Inola, Okla., over the weekend.
Jeff Bizzle (132), Austin Tull-Cochrane (138) and Jared Conover (285) won their respective weight divisions, while seven Bentonville wrestlers medaled.
Aaron Grigsby (120) was second, while Chuck Price (145) and Kyson Larsen (182) each took third. Drew Schuler (160) was fifth. Bentonville was still missing four starters from their varsity lineup because of the holidays.

The Tigers also improved their dual record to 16-1 this season with wins over Springdale High and Springdale Har-Ber on Tuesday night. Bentonville defeated Springdale 47-18, then knocked off Har-Ber 40-32.
Conover also notched his second win of the season over Har-Ber’s Ty Harrison, who finished second in the 6A-7A state tournament last season.
Mounties Take Second In Butler
Three Rogers High wrestlers won their respective weight divisions to help the Mounties finish second in a nine-team tournament in Butler, Mo., over the weekend.
Nick Mulcahy improved to 24-0 by winning the 152-pound division. Edwin Santos (182) and Madison Montgomery (132) also won their weight classes. Santos improved to 22-1 on the season. Four other Mounties finished among the top three.
“The seventh, eighth and ninth-ranked 1A teams in Missouri were there, so I was happy to beat two ranked teams,” Rogers coach Ken Simmons said.
Justin Moore (145) was second, while Austin Rodriguez (160), Josh Lee (170) and Nick Lockhart (220) each finished third. Heath Henman (138) also finished fifth.
Fayetteville Finishes Seventh In Wildcat Duals
The Purple Bulldogs went 5-1 in the Springdale Har-Ber Wildcat Duals, led by seniors Austin Hubble and Sam Goll.
Hubble, the defending 6A-7A state champion at 220 pounds, hasn’t wrestled much since football season ran long. But he’s still unbeaten in first handful of matches, but that’s in the 285-pound weight class.
Goll, who was fifth in the state tournament a year ago, has lost just once this season at 170 pounds.
“He’s done very well this season and very committed,” Fayetteville coach Steve Adair said.
Rodney Ensley (126), Alex Baysinger (120) and Bennett Bowen (132) should also be factors in the state tournament, Adair said.
