2 now dead in Greenland shooting

— A second person has died from a Thursday night greenland shooting, said Gary Ricker, Greenland police chief. A third person was injured and in unknown condition. He said one man was arrested in connection with the shooting.

The shooting happened at an apartment complex at 1037 N. Main Ave., around North Main Avenue and Short Street, near the Fayetteville Executive Airport.

Ricker did not release the names of anyone involved, what led to the shooting or the type of gun used. The two wounded people were transported to Washington Regional Medical Center where on of them later died, Ricker said.

Ricker said he would issue a news release with more details sometime Friday morning.
